Conference Room Technology
Fast Ethernet LAN
All conference rooms are connected with copper, category-5e cabling, supported by a fibre optic backbone. This provides flexibility, reliability and high-speed connectivity in our meeting rooms. Local Area Networks with fast Ethernet (speeds of 100 mega-bits per second) can easily be set up within the hotel, allowing a variety of computer-based presentations to be staged with maximum reliability. If required, the hotel’s fibre optic backbone can be accessed, enabling your equipment (servers, appliances, network storage, etc.) to connect with the rest of the conference rooms, the Internet or your VPN network.
Wireless Connectivity
Wireless connectivity is available in all conference rooms, the Business Centre, the Grand Club® Lounge and Panini. This increases the reach of the conference room connectivity when speeds of 11 mega-bits or less are sufficient. This infrastructure is especially useful for mobile users, wireless Internet kiosks and product demonstrations.
Centralised Patching Facility
A secured room houses the central patching cabinet, allowing you to easily connect and locate film servers, hubs, routers and other associated hardware. This facility allows for internal networks to be segregated for simultaneous use by multiple internal clients, network security management and monitoring of network performance.
High-Speed Internet Access
A high-speed “always on” Internet connection is available in all conference rooms, providing Internet browsing, e-mail access and video streaming capabilities. A Cisco Ethernet Modular Router with VPN module allows the creation of your own WAN from within the hotel to an external location.
Video Conferencing
A PictureTel Concord 4500 and three ISDN lines provide six channels (384 kbps) for video conferencing, enabling this facility to be set up at short notice.

Grand Hyatt Dubai Convention Centre
Grand Hyatt Dubai provides guests with direct access to the adjacent Convention Centre. The geographical proximity between the hotel’s 11 function rooms and two ballrooms accommodating up to 9,000 delegates gives conference organisers enormous flexibility.
